GULFPORT, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University Women's golf team began the fall portion of the season in the Eckerd Invite at Pasadena Yacht and Country Club on Monday. The Sharks (

Lua Pousa Dacasa (+5) and Maria Torres Lobato (+8) both finished the day inside the top-20.

- Lua Pousa Dacasa (75/74) began the day by shooting seven pars on the front nine. Pousa Dacasa hit the turn and recorded eight pars to finish the first round. Pousa Dacasa found a great rhythm during her second round on the fifth hole, going 14 consecutive holes shooting par or better.
- Maria Torres-Lobato (79/73) totaled three birdies and five pars during the first round. During the second round Torres Lobato shot three birdies and four pars on the front nine, adding a pair of birdies and four the back nine.
- Alex Remaklus (77/78) recorded a birdie and 11 pars during the first round of play. In the second round Remaklus added another birdie and 12 pars to her total.
- Ariana Carvalho (82/79) totaled a birdie and nine pars during her first round of the day. Carvalho birdied twice in her second round, adding seven pars to close the day.
- Tanvi Samayam (80/82) began her first round with five pars on the front nine, adding five more pars and a birdie to finish the first round. Samayam began the second round with four consecutive pars, and closed the day with an additional six pars.
